The Tax Rate Hearing was held and the tax rate level set at 5.45.
The financial statement was presented and bills were paid.
Graduation requirements were adopted as presented for the high school handbook.
The Annual Secretary of the Board Report was approved.
The district had a back to school dinner on Aug. 21.
The school board will host the board/staff dinner on Sept. 28.
Ms. Kirby announced that the bus inspections were finished.
Mrs. Weldon announced that enrollment began Wednesday, Aug. 15.
There was a question brought up of what the time limit is to turn in fund raisers to the central office. Mrs. Weldon will look into the matter and resolve the problem.
MSHA Standards for athletic eligibility were adopted.
The board entered into executive session pursuant to employee matters.
Board members present were David Iddings, Beverly Hunter, Debbie Ray, Jason Lewis and Cecil McCrary. Board members absent were Chris Nelson and Doug Baker. Also present were Superintendent Julie Kirby; Board Secretary Beverly Hunter, Kristi Critten and Becky Morris.
