Gallatin’s Lady Bulldogs picked up where they left off in 2007 by winning their 11th straight regular season game on Tuesday, a 12-0 shutout of Milan on the Lady Wildkat home turf.

Ashley Owens, Lacey Dixon, Shelby Chadwick and Kaddie Mott each had a pair of hits for Gallatin. Owens and Dixon led the way with three runs batted in. Chadwick and Kirsten Bowe each had a pair of rbi.

Dixon was nothing but economical on the mound. She threw 84 pitches, striking out 10 batters and giving up only a pair of hits.

Owens led the Lady Bulldogs with six assists and a putout. Wren Tolen had nine putouts. Maggie Strange stole two bases, picked off a runner at first base in the bottom of the seventh inning, and recorded ten putouts.

The Lady Bulldogs open the home portion of their season on Thursday when they face the Smithville Lady Warriors. Starting time is 4:30 p.m.

Gallatin travels on to Albany on Saturday for tournament action beginning at 9 a.m.
