Funeral services for Howard Bailey were held Tuesday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin.

Interment was at Grand River Cemetery, near Jameson. Memorials may be made to the Jameson Baptist Church.
Howard Bailey, 80, died Aug. 3, 2007, at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton.
Mr. Bailey was born July 8, 1927, to Charles and Dovie (Osborn) Bailey in Kingston. He was raised in Oklahoma and lived there until moving to Missouri in the 60s.
He was married to Louise Cartwright. She preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Beatrice Ruark on Nov. 19, 1966, in Amazonia. She preceded him in death in 1998.
Mr. Bailey was employed at the Wilkerson Maxwell Construction Company in Kansas City, Kan., for 30 years, retiring in 1990. He worked bridge and general construction during that time.
In 1991, Mr. Bailey moved to a farm near Jameson.
Mr. Bailey helped build the refreshment stand at North Daviess High School in Jameson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Joshua Hurley; a brother, Roy; and sisters, Mae Steel and Alma Duberry.
Survivors include two sons, Howard Bailey II of Jameson, and Glenn Bailey of Texas; three daughters, Dovie Loftin of Jameson, Christine Hurley of Clifton Forge, VA., and Tommie Graves of Pryor, Okla.; one brother, Elmer Bailey of Woodville, Okla.; two sisters, Edna Moen of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Iva Cothron of Mansfield, Okla.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
