Funeral services for Glenice Prewitt were held Saturday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty.

Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.samaritans purse.org). Arrangements were under the direction of Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer.
Glenice R. Prewitt, 61, Liberty, died on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, at the Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City.
Mrs. Prewitt was born on April 11, 1946, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Glen Duckett and Emma Dell Wallace Duckett Melte.
She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. She also volunteered at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Mrs. Prewitt was preceded in death by her father; her step father; her grandparents; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother, Emma Dell Melte of Gallatin; three sons, Scott Prewitt of Overland Park, KS., Matthew Prewitt of Columbia, and Brian Prewitt of Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter, Robin Prewitt of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Wally Melte of Overland Park, KS.; two sisters, Norma Curtis of Gallatin, and Kim Roberts of Bolivar; and eight grandchildren.
