Gallatin’s defending Grand River Conference champion football Bulldogs hit the ground running Monday morning and by 8 a.m. were already busy with drills that will help them prepare for the Aug. 24th Jamboree at GHS. Fifty-four athletes reported for the first practice session, the largest group ever to suit up in pre-season. The Bulldogs open the 2007 season at Tarkio on Aug. 31. The first home game for the Dogs will be Sept. 14 against North Platte.
The Lady Bulldog softball team will begin its GRC title defense with 19 players, including a number of returning starters. They will open their season Aug. 21 at Milan, and face Smithville in their home opener on Aug. 23.
The GHS girls golf team, with approximately 10 members, will tee off Aug. 22 at Stanberry. First home meet for the Lady Bulldogs will be Aug. 27 against Orrick.
