Circuit Court
Brandon S. Jones plead guilty July 30 to two counts of non-support, class D felony. He received a suspended imposition of sentence and five years probation on each count.
Charles A. Barlow plead guilty July 30 to three counts of non-support, class D felony. He was sentenced to four years in the department of corrections on each count, execution of sentence suspended. He received five years probation on each count and was ordered to serve 10 days shock time in the regional jail.
Dissolutions of marriage were granted to Shannon Kathleen Miller from Michael Lynn Miller on July 31, with her maiden name McQueen restored; and to Jeffrey Scott Schweedler from Amanda Gayle Schweedler on July 24, with her maiden name Harmon restored. The cases were heard by Judge Warren McElwain.
County Commission
James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported that they are continuing tube replacements.
Bills were audited and paid.
Steve Cheavens with SEMA met with the commission to update the LEOP plan for the county.
Jerry Frost met with the commission concerning insurance on road and bridge building.
Mark Gaynor met with the commission regarding video equipment arraignment for the court systems.
The commissioners met with Sen. Brad Lager, the Harrison Township Board, Vic Litton and Mike Trager about the road conditions on 302nd Street and Unity Avenue in Harrison Township.
Keith Gay met with the commission with questions about roads and FEMA.

Associate Circuit Court
Two charges were filed against George W. Delarber on Aug. 3., in addition to those reported last week. He is charged with possession of controlled substance at county jail, class C felony, and possession of item prohibited at county jail, class A misdemeanor.
Those charged Aug. 3 with the class C felony of passing bad checks are Christina M. Murray of Trenton, Wayne D. Clabaugh II of St. Joseph, and Andrew McBroom of Gallatin.
Traffic Fines
The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $673.50 for 14 tickets. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $145.50 for 6 cases. Court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $56.50 for moving traffic violations. Missouri defendants, offenses and fines are listed below:
No seat belt: Kathrine E. Roe, Gallatin, $10; Tracy D. Miller, Osborn, $10.
Speeding: Vincent V. Fallis, Belton, $58.50.
Vision reducing material: Jamie R. Burke, Kearney, $28.50.
Matthew R. Rosburg, Kansas City, was fined $28.50 for speeding and $10 for no seat belt.
Civil Court
In a breach of contract suit by Roger Wilson against Alan L. Wilson, the case was tried by the court. The judgment was in favor of the defendant Alan Wilson.
Another breach of contract suit, Capital One vs. Adrian Gutshall, was dismissed by the parties.
Two suits on accounts were dismissed by the parties, Discovery Bank vs. Jamey Fish, and the New Liberty Hospital vs. Sharon and Kenneth Smith.
A default judgment for a suit on account was entered for Capital One Bank and against James G. Russell. A consent judgment for a suit on account was entered for First Resolution Investment Corp. and against Timothy Sutton.
Sheriff(s Office
Jeremy Brannon, 23, Springfield was arrested July 28 for failure to appear on misdemeanor DWI charges. He posted $1,095.50 bond.
Thomas Stewart, 25, Robbinsville, N.C., was charged Aug. 5 with leaving the scene of an accident, class D felony. He is being held on $15,000 bond.
Dustin Esterline, 24, Winston, was arrested Aug. 4 for felony DWI and no valid license, third offense. He is being held on $8,250 bond.
Roy Bentley, 45, Stanberry, was arrested Aug. 5 for misdemeanor DWI. He was held for 12-hours detoxification, processed and released.
Charles Kuszak, 25, Topeka, Kan., was charged Aug. 6 with misdemeanor no valid license. He posted $500 bond.
Carrie J. Ellis, 29, Gallatin, was charged Aug. 4 with misdemeanor driving while suspended. She posted $500 bond.
Seferino Benavides, 37, Des Moines, Iowa, was arrested Aug. 4 for misdemeanor no valid license. He is being held on $500 bond.
Jason D. Holmes, 31, Coffey, was arrested Aug. 5 for DWI second offense, class B misdemeanor and endangering the welfare of a child, class A misdemeanor. He posted $2,000 bond.
