Danielle Ness, a member of the Knee-Hi 4-H Club of Gallatin, attended the Missouri 4-H Citizenship Youth Forum and participated in the media tract. Danielle is the daughter of Alicia Chrisman and Adam Ness.
This year the Missouri 4-H Citizenship Youth Forum was held June 26-28 in Jefferson City. The event is the one state event in Missouri solely planned and facilitated by regional youth specialists and program assistants. It is one of the most exciting citizenship experiences available to high school age youth. The workshop provides participants a chance to learn about the Missouri legislative and judicial processes and media interaction with these parts of government.
The media group met and worked with media representatives who represented print, radio, and television enterprises. The print tract delegates wrote news releases about the workshops that were available to delegates for their hometown newspapers. Radio delegates learned about the broadcast industry and how to promote a program.
Becky Simpson is the 4-H Youth Development Specialist for Daviess County.
