The East All-Stars defeated their West counterparts, 31-28, in the Missouri Lions All-Star Football Game played Saturday night in Warrensburg after booting the winning field goal with 1:03 left to play.

The West jumped out to a 14-0 lead, led 14-7 at the break, but entered the fourth quarter down by a 21-20 margin.

The East squad showcased a balanced offense with 184 yards rushing and 182 yards passing. The West managed only 26 yards on the ground but aired the ball out for 404 yards.

Gallatin’s Nic Burrell registered four solo tackles a two assists for the West squad. He will suit up for Missouri Western State University this fall.
