Funeral services Keith Eulinger were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Bram Funeral Home in Maysville. Burial was at Berlin Cemetery, north of Fairport.

Keith E. Eulinger Sr., 84, Maysville, died Sunday, July 15, 2007, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center. He was born in Los Animos, Colo., on June 24, 1923. He grew up near Maysville.Mr. Eulinger attended Hensel Grade School, Maysville High School, Missouri University College of Agriculture and Oklahoma University College of Engineering.
Mr. Eulinger served in the U.S. Army during World War II for 21/2 years. He served with the 103rd Combat Division, Company G, 409th Regiment in the Vosges Mountains of France and Germany. He initially went to combat with the Headquarter Platoon of Company G and was later attached to the 1st Platoon as their runner. He was wounded in Germany on Dec. 17, 1944. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, European Theater and Good Conduct medals. He was medically discharged on June 19, 1945.
Mr. Eulinger farmed in the Maysville and Pattonsburg areas his entire life. He was also a soil conservation contractor for over 20 years.
He married Patricia Rose Mountjoy on Feb. 21, 1943, in Columbia. Mr. Eulinger was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a past commander of St. Joseph chapter No. 6, Disabled American Veterans. He served on the Dallas Township Board for five years, as the Dallas Township trustee-treasurer for six years, on the Roundtop School Board for five years, on the Maysville R-I Board for six years (four as president), on the County ASCS Committee for six years (one as chairman), on the FHA Advisory Committee for three years, as County Farm Bureau president for several years, as project manager for the GLM Watershed for 41/2 years and as a 4-H Club leader for many years. He was a member of the Fairport Baptist Church, serving actively for years. Most recently, he was a member of the Maysville Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his wife, Patricia; his parents, Chester A. and Ethel M. (Berry) Eulinger; a son, Larry Dayle; a daughter, Mary Redman; a sister, Evelyn Randol; and three grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Keith E. Eulinger Jr., St. Joseph; and David, Maysville; two daughters, Carol Painter, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Lisa Hudson, Clive, Iowa; one sister, Hazel Amunson, Soldier, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
