Pre-game festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with the kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Walton Stadium/Vernon Kennedy Field on the campus of the University of Central Missouri.

The annual affair was created in order to benefit the Missouri Lions Eye Research Foundation, and has raised approximately $180,000 for this statewide Lions project.

The game is divided into teams representing East and West. Heading this year’s West squad will be Coach Craig Lewis of Truman High School in Independence. The East team will be piloted by Coach Arien Pixley New Madrid County Central High School.

The Warrensburg Lions Club will host the event. Players and coaches arrived at UCM on Sunday, July 15. Players will undergo two-a-day practice sessions, culminating in the banquet Friday night, and game on Saturday.

Tickets for the game may be obtained from any member of the Warrensburg Lions Club, or at the gate on game day. The Missouri Lions are pleased to announce that this year’s game will be broadcast live on www.prepcasts.com, and on KKWK Radio (100.1 FM).

Gallatin R-5 graduate Nic Burrell will be a member of the West All-Star Team. He will play football this fall at Missouri Western State University.

Other All-State notables for the West Team are fullback Kyle Nixdorf from Wellington-Napoleon and offensive tackle Tyler Werle of Orrick. Also on the West roster are Matt Higley, safety from South Harrison High School, and three players from Cameron High School — runningback Ross Rosenbaum, linebacker Jay Oebring and defensive tackle Aaron Fritz.
