July 27, Mary Bickford, Elsie Hall and Karen Upperco attended the Senior Center in Gallatin. We had a very tasty lunch followed by entertainment, ice cream and cake. This was their monthly birthday party. Everyone had a great time. Elsie Hall’s daughter and son-in-law visited and ate lunch with Elsie.
June 28, the First Baptist Church was here. Don Ray gave the devotion. Sharon Burke played the piano. Richard Hogan, Virginia Creek, and Julie Willet also helped with the service. July 5, they were back with the same group. Sheila Bridgman and Ian and Kirsten Egger were also here visiting.
June 29, we served root beer floats to residents staff and visitors.
July 3 was a very busy but enjoyable day. We started the morning out with making patriotic doughnuts. They were so good. Those that helped were Pat Rogers, Pearl Robinson, Eula Osborn, Jennie Pierce and Bea Kromeich.
In the afternoon we took some of the residents outside for daytime fireworks.
They were safe, but went off with a bang. Later that afternoon, we had ice cream cones and were entertained by Nadine Watts.
She brought her karaoke player and we had so much fun. Several staff and visitors also took part. She will be coming on a regular schedule.
