Funeral services for Retha Maltsberger were held Tuesday at Bram Funeral Home in Maysville, and burial followed in Fairport Cemetery.

Retha "Rea" Marea (Bratcher) Maltsberger, 91, Maysville, died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of Roscoe and Eva (Bechtel) Bratcher, Mrs. Maltsberger was born May 24, 1916, at the family farmstead near Pattonsburg, in DeKalb County.
She was a lifelong resident of DeKalb County. She attended Santa Rosa and Round Top schools, and was a graduate of Pattonsburg High School.
On Oct. 28, 1939, she was united in marriage to Harold Milton Maltsberger. They established their home in the Fairport community, where they began their farming operation. In 1992, she moved to Crestview Estates in Maysville.
Mrs. Maltsberger was a member of the Ellsworth Extension Homemaker’s Club and was an Ellsworth 4-H club leader. She was a member of the Fairport Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harold; a sister, Roxie Mono; and two brothers, Walter Sherman Bratcher and William Bratcher.
Survivors include one son, Eddie Joe Maltsberger of Maysville; one sister, Wilberta (Billie) Shartzer of Cameron; one brother, Wyman Bratcher, California; and one grandson.
