The Winston Historical Society will present Jesse James Days July 13-14-15 at the Winston City Park.

On Friday, July 13, the Historical Society food shack opens at 6:30 p.m. serving sandwiches, ice cream and cake. At 7 p.m. gospel music will be performed by the Ministerial Alliance.
On Saturday, July 14, KAW Fire Department will host a biscuits and gravy breakfast at 7 a.m. at the Winston Fire House.
Winston Area Scouts will host a flag raising ceremony at 9 a.m. A baby show will be held at 9:30 a.m. For information about the baby show call Kelly Uthe, hostess, at 816-288-9170.
Stamp cancellation will be offered at 10 a.m. Area Scouts pitch in again to help with a horseshoe pitching contest. Coordinator is Brenda Goll. A Stock Garden Tractor Pull will also be held Saturday. Contact Larry Baldwin at 660-663-7777.
Parade participants are asked to pre-register at 11 a.m. at the fire house. Line up for the parade at the Winston School at 12:30 p.m. The parade will be held at 1 p.m. Trophies will be given for first, second and third place, sponsored by the KAW Fire District.
Mic-O-Say Dancers will perform at 2:30 p.m.
Winston Players will present “How to Plan a Train Robbery” at 4 p.m. and “The Train Robbery” at 5 p.m. A 5 K Run sponsored by the area Scouts will begin at 5:30 p.m. Evening entertainment starts at 7 p.m. with “Country Gone Crazy” Comedy and Music Show. Bring your lawn chairs.
Community Church Services will be held in the park at 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 15, followed by carry-in basket dinner. Everyone is welcome.
The Winston Depot will be open and the food shack will be open all day Saturday. Fun and games will be available for kids of all ages, including carnival rides, moon walk and slide. Plus, free drawing and give-aways.
Flea market booths and food vendors will be set up on the grounds. Flea market vendors: $15 per space. Food Vendors: $50 per space. No eclectic hook-ups. For information call 660-749-5725.
