Sunday Jennie Kidd and children Sammie, Christopher and Payton, Pam Miller, Lori and Molly Nashan took Doris Cameron out for Mother’s Day lunch at Cameron.
Those visiting Woodrow and Maxine Morris Friday were Bill and Cheryl Adams, Winterset, Iowa. Sunday visitor was Susan (Peugh) Sextion. Other visitors have been Herb Luke and Forrest Morris.
Bruce Lowrey, Independence, spent Saturday with Lavena Lowrey.
Last Sunday, May 6, Randy, Kristie Hulet and daughter Caroline and Peggy Searcy went to Milford, Neb., to attend open house with Andrew Hulet at the trade school he is attending.
Don and Betty Cameron went Friday to O’Fallon, Ill., to visit their daughter Brenda Tracy and family. Saturday they attended the graduation of Brenda from college where she received a master of art degree in professional counseling. They returned home Sunday.
Last weekend Donna Hibbs and Mary Lou Brandt attended the Tulip Festival at Pella, Iowa. This Saturday Donna Hibbs went to Excelsior Springs to attend a dance recital where Kylia Hibbs was one of the dancers.
Those helping with Mother’s Day breakfast at Kenneth and Evelyn Dilley’s were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dilley and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dilley and family, Mary Lou and Bill Browning.
Weekend guests of Julia Cornett were Jackie and Jacob Morris, Aurora. Saturday afternoon visitors were Judy and Roger Peters, Maysville. Sunday morning visitors were Bonnie and Richard Walker, Tommye, Paige, and Taylor Quilty, Mound City, Joey and Brian Thompson, Union Star, Annette Cornett, Larry, Ronnie and Danny Cornett and Tanner Teel.
Sandra Holman, Princeton, took Leroy and Janelle Mikes to St. Joseph Saturday evening for an early Mother’s Day dinner. Lee Mikes visited them Sunday afternoon.
Ed and Jane Howard, Bradley Nalle, Kristen and Bryson ate out Saturday evening to celebrate Mother’s Day.
James and Kendra Walker and boys, Leon, Iowa, Mike and Joyce Parkhurst and Lora visited Mildred Walker Saturday. They had a barbecue cookout. Later in the afternoon Wayne and Toni Poage and family, Homer and Billie Owens, Paula Walker and Jack Walker joined them.
Annette and Joy Graver and daughter Elizabeth, Independence, had lunch with Kenneth and Arlene Yost for Mother’s Day.
Thursday Alice Bell went to Overland Park, Kan., to the home of Allison Ford. That evening they attended the school play. Her grandson, Joshua Ford, had a leading part.
Sunday Alice Bell and Leanna Thompson attended the high school graduation program at Mid Buchanan. Kristi Williams was one of the graduates. Kristi is the granddaughter of Zemilena Markham.
Thursday Glennetta and Bob Taylor, Della Rowell and Wanda Youngs came to visit Letha Shipers. Letha has been going most every day this week to see Sharen Moore at Winston. Sunday when Letha was at Sharen’s, she also got to visit with Karen and Bill Hardin, Ontario, Ore., Mike and Sharon Shipers and daughter Becky, Shelly and Kathy King and friend, Darryl.

Dolores Cameron had some surgery on her hand Friday. She is recuperating at home.
Chris and Jennifer Troxler hosted a second birthday party for their daughter Laila on Saturday, April 21. Those attending were Kristin Walker, Joe, Heidi and Makayla Hebert, Ray, Kim and Hunter Staley, Stephanie White, Jalen and Sydney, Chris and Tyler Woodring, Heather Bailey, Denise Morgan, Amy and Noah Williams, McKenna and Madisyn Stark, all of Kansas City; Courtney Sudduth of Overland Park, Kan.; Betty and Gary Woodring of Turney; Minnie and Mallory Bray of Cameron; Gene and Kathy Walker and Greg, Duffy and Samuel Coin, all of Pattonsburg.
Gene and Kathy Walker, Laila and Jennifer Walker attended Tyler Woodring’s first birthday party, April 28, at Penguin Park in Kansas City.
Laila Troxler spent last Wednesday night with her grandparents, Gene and Kathy Walker, returning home Thursday.
Gene and Kathy Walker were guests of Gary and Paula Johnson at the Gator Rivers Celebrity Classic dinner Sunday evening at the St. Joseph Country Club. The event was in memory of Mrs. Johnson’s mother, Beverly Walker. She was honored and remembered for her countless hours of service and commitment to others including Missouri Girls Town, the Dream Factory and Cameron Regional Hospital.
