Members of the Gallatin R-5 Junior High Science Olympiad team participated in the Missouri State Science Olympiad Tournament held on the University of Missouri campus on April 28.

The Gallatin team earned fourth place and the right to go on to state competition at the district competition at the Northwest Missouri State University in February. Individuals placing at the state competition are as follows: Jamie Brinnen and Kevin Corwin, 4th place, Science Crime Busters; Breanne Brammer and Kaymon Witt, 5th place, Write It-Do It. The Gallatin Junior High Team placed 28th overall, out of 32 teams. Gallatin Junior High Science Olympiad is coached by Dan McCann.
