Ayrica Batson named Academic All-State by MBCA

Gallatin R-5 senior Ayrica Batson, daughter of Wanda and Jerry Batson, was recently named to the Academic All-State Basketball Team by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association.

Players selected to the honor team were honored at a banquet held at the Reynolds Alumni Center on the University of Missouri-Columbia campus.

Criteria for the selection to the Academic All-State Team were high academic grades, rank in class and performance in high school basketball. Ayrica was nominated for the award by her high school coach, Rick Lin.
