On Saturday, April 14, Venture Crew #167 participated in the Missouri High School Trap Shoot in Linn Creek. Venture Crew is affiliated with the Boy Scouts and is a co-ed group, who are always looking for new members.
The trap shoot consists of squads of five members who shoot 100 targets each. This weekend was extremely difficult, as the weather was not cooperating. With temperatures in the 30s and snow and rain it was all they could do to compete.
Even with bad weather, several members shot their personal best and the ladies high school team placed first and were rewarded with a belt buckle.
Those participating were: Ladies High School – Chelsea Caldwell, Mallory Heldenbrand, Rachel Michael, Kalesa Newman and Johnna Stevens; Boys High School – Dalton Clemons, Cody Frazier, Andrew Pierce and Kyle Yardley; Junior High – Taner Caldwell, Dillion Klindt, Chandler Newman, Tabitha Piburn and Cody Youtsey.
