Genevieve S. Franklin, 95, Hannibal, died Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra.
Mrs. Franklin was born Feb. 11, 1912, in Hamilton to Leslie Vernon and Charlotte Nevada Henry McCauley.
She married William Harvey Franklin on Nov. 15, 1930, in Hannibal. He died on July 18, 1981.
Mrs. Franklin retired in 1965 from the Courier-Post as bookkeeper. Previously she had worked at International Shoe Co. and J.C. Penney store.
She was a member of Clover Road Christian Church, Lighthouse Chapel No. 194, O.E.S., and had been an active member of Levering Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Franklin was also preceded in death by two sons, Larry Franklin and LaRue Franklin; three brothers, Howard McCauley, Frederick McCauley and Neil McCauley; two sisters, Monica Doll and Anna McCrary; one grandson, Franklin Wayne Neff; and one great-grandson, Colin Levi Neff.
Survivors include one daughter, Joann Neff of Hannibal; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
