Election results were certified during the regular meeting of the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen held Wednesday, April 11.

Lonnie Luke and Dwight Schell were sworn in as aldermen for the 2007-2009 term. Gene Walker verbally stated and the council accepted his resignation as alderman. He was sworn in as mayor. Mark Smith was appointed for the vacant alderman position for the remainder of the one year-term. Dana Cameron was appointed as city clerk.
The city wide clean-up date was set for May 7.
Richard Mooney updated the council on his progress of the development of the city. The council stated that they were impressed with his progress and for him to keep heading in the same direction.
Dwight Schell presented the council with a proclamation of Motorcycle Awareness Month. The riders will be in Pattonsburg on April 21.
Angie Jones updated the council on the contract with the water district. The city’s lawyer had talked with the water district’s lawyer and await a response from him.
The board looked over and approved the monthly bills which included a payment to Dwight Schell.
The city council met at city hall on April 11. Those in attendance were as follows: Leonard Barr, Gene Walker, Mayor Mark Smith, Richard Mooney, Lonnie Luke, Angie Jones, Eddy Meador and Dana Cameron.
