Gallatin Clubs – Daviess County Business Womens’ Association

Hostesses for the evening, Lana Corwin and Sue Downey, welcomed 17 members and one guest, Pat Duvall. President Sandy Vyrostek called the business meeting to order. Lola Critten announced the Scholarship Committee had narrowed down the many applications to two senior girls and requested members to read the resume and vote for the final recipient. The DCBWA will publicly announce the choice for the 2007 scholarship at the May meeting. Jane McKinsey reported that our association will be providing the food for the Relay for Life "Survivor’s Dinner" on Aug. 25 in conjunction with the Gallatin Rotary Club. Details for this project will be finalized in the coming months. Sandy reminded members of the April 25 birthday party for residents of the Lake Viking Care Center. Cakes will be provided by Jane, Lola, Norma Griffin, Lana and DeAnna Fuller. Members voted to donate money to the Gallatin Swim Program. Birthday raffles were won by Jane, Pam Howard and Sue. An extra raffle for the spring-like table decorations went to Charlotte Critten, Veda Heldenbrand, Norma, Sue, Lori Kloepping, Bonnie Harrah and our guest, Pat. We participated in a "show and tell" session. Next meeting in May 8 with Delma Rodgers and Margaret Townsend as hostesses. The monthly newsletter will have details.
