Hanes family travels to Arizona to watch granddaughter play for NCMC team

Vernon Hanes, of Lake Viking, Gilman City Class of 1953, recently visited Phoenix, Ariz., where he watched his granddaughter Whitney Hanes play basketball in the in National Junior College Basketball Tourney.

Another classmate, Ed Dowell, joined the Hanes family in support of North Central Missouri College, Trenton, before they lost to Mott College, Mich. The girls played in the consolation bracket for the rest of the tourney but a great time was had by all attendees. Pictured is the Hanes family with player Whitney and grandpa present.
