The purpose of the school is to develop each individual’s talents and skills as an umpire and prepare umpires to go back to their home areas and pass on the mechanics, positioning and procedures learned at the school to fellow umpires. The school will be run by a team of national umpire staff members who have a boundless knowledge of all aspects of the game of softball.

The school will be beneficial to ASA umpires with three years or less experience, and for umpires that have never attended an ASA umpire’s school. The registration fee is $75.

Additional information and an application for the school may be obtained from coordinator Roger Randall at (913) 631-5119 or via email at [email protected]. The application may also be downloaded at www.bsoausa.org/2007_nus.htm.

The Amateur Softball Association is the national governing body of softball. The organization, which is in its 75th year of operation, is a volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization based in Oklahoma City, Okla.
