Linda Bridgeman hosted the March 5 meeting of Laureate Delta Rho with 11 members present. Nancy Salmon called on the service committee to report on activities. During the past month the group has hosted the birthday party at Lake Viking Care Center, taken food to member Betty Bird after her surgery, helped sponsor Kathryn Everly for Girl’s State this upcoming summer, and donated to GHS after prom party. Two members, Sue Gillilan and Lois Agenstein, volunteered to take tickets at the Theater League’s upcoming production. Election of officers was held with the following people accepting offices: President – Lois Barton; Vice President – Evelyn Riley; Recording Secretary – Kay Kordes; Corresponding Secretary – Nancy Terry; Treasurer – Linda Bridgeman; Extension Officer – Nancy Tate; ECC – Nancy Salmon & Lois Agenstein. On March 19 members will meet at Barton’s at 6 for dinner in Chillicothe. The next business meeting will be April 2 at Carol Wood’s home. Evelyn Riley gave an informative and interesting program on Pharaoh’s Lost Army.
