Levi Michener named academic all-state

Gallatin R-5 freshman Levi Michener, who recently captured a third place medal in the MSHSAA State Wrestling Championships, received Academic All-State recognition over the weekend.

Michener received his award at a banquet sponsored by the Missouri Wrestling Association, and held in Columbia. Accompanying him to the banquet were his parents, Tim and Karla Michener, and GHS head wrestling coach Phillip Limb.

To receive academic all-state recognition, wrestlers must have earned a medal in the state tournament, and maintained a GPA of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
