Funeral services for Nellie Waterbury were held Saturday, March 3, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery near Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Care Hospice in Gallatin.

Nellie May Waterbury, 84, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, at her home near Jameson.
Mrs. Waterbury was born in Daviess County on Aug. 2, 1922, to Alfred and Nellie (Baker) Creekmore. She attended the Cottonwood Country School near Gallatin.
On Feb. 29, 1944, she was united in marriage to Delbert Waterbury, her husband of 55 years, in Atchison County, Kan. During Delbert’s time in the service Nellie lived in California. After being discharged from the service the couple moved to the Jameson area where they farmed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Delbert in 1999, three sisters, Bernice Creekmore, Rilla Carder, and Evelyn Fletcher, and two brothers George Creekmore, and Alfred Creekmore.
Survivors include one daughter, Patty Baker, Jameson; one son, Mike Waterbury, Jameson; one sister, Ruby Teel, Gallatin; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
