Graveside service for James Carpenter were held Monday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe. Arrangements were by Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home, Trenton.

James H. Carpenter, 85, Trenton, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007. Born at Darlington, Mr. Carpenter farmed near Gilman City, and worked as a janitor for Trenton R-9 schools.
He is survived by cousin, Bill Sutton, and wife, Dorothy of Chillicothe.
Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Cloie; brother, George; and sister, Palma.
