Police Chief Mark Richards reported on activity from Jan. 21 to Feb. 12. Reports on tickets taken or issued: 3 Accidents; 1 No Insurance; 1 Stealing; 1 Trespassing; 4 Speeding; 1 Peace Disturbance; 1 Phone Harassment; 1 No Dog License; 1 Driving with Suspended License. There are eight dogs in the pound.
Bills totalling in the amount of $183,816.50 were approved for payment.
Todd Foster, Marcit representative, gave a presentation about the public entity self-insurance pool, and answered questions from the board. Motions carried approving execution of MARCIT bylaws and for Zac Johnson to continue as Gallatin’s representative to MARCIT.

Franklin Archer’s resignation from the Park Board was accepted.
A motion carried to retain Karen Johnson to do contract labor for municipal court at $10/hr to be billed monthly.
Mr. Johnson is looking into a transportation enhancement grant that would replace the sidewalks around the square.
Mr. Johnson attended a meeting regarding Text Caster, a message service that would provide generic messages through e-mails or cell phones.
The board entered into closed session pursuant to legal actions and litigation.
Public comment included a complaint about parking on the corner of Maple and Grand Streets.
