Pvt. Jeremy J. Pittsenbarger will depart for basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky., in May of 2007.

Following his senior year of high school, Pittsenbarger will attend advanced individual training to receive instruction for his military occupational specialty as a canon crewmember.
Pittsenbarger will serve with Battery A, 1st Battalion 129th Field Artillery located in Albany.
“I want to serve my country and could really use the extra money,” he stated. Pittsenbarger is looking forward to the training he will receive through the Army National Guard and career opportunities he will receive.
Along with his regular military pay, Pittsenbarger will receive an enlistment bonus, the Montgomery G.I. Bill and 100 percent tuition assistance.
He is a junior at Pattonsburg High School and is the son of Joseph Pittsenbarger, of Pattonsburg, and Lisa Geilen, of Bethany. He was recruited by Staff Sgt. Bobby G. Smith of the Missouri Army National Guard Recruiting Office located in Albany.
