The Daviess County Health Department has received a grant from the Children’s Trust Fund to continue their parenting classes through this spring. The next class will start on Thursday, Feb. 1.

This class will be held every Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. for six weeks at the Daviess County Health Department located at 609A S. Main St., Gallatin.
Health nurses will be using the “Parenting with Love and Logic” curriculum. This curriculum is made up of six modules and a module will be covered each night. Classes are offered to parents, grandparents, child care providers or anyone who wants a better understanding of children and how to handle discipline. The health department states that this class has been well received by other participants and is very fun and informative.
Because of the grant, these classes are FREE. Please call 660-663-2414 for class availability. Each class will be limited to 10 students. If you have any other questions, please direct them to Kristie Smith, RN, at the above number. If the class dates or times listed will not work for you, please call anyway and get on a waiting list.
