Funeral services for L.D. Richardson were held Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Hamilton United Methodist Church. Arrangements were by Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Interment was at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, south of Hamilton. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association.

L.D. Richardson, 80, Hamilton, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
Born on July 11, 1926, in Caldwell County to Leon Dudley and Hortense Cox Richardson,
Mr. Richardson grew up in the New York community. He had lived in Caldwell County his entire life.
He served in the Army, in occupied Japan.
Mr. Richardson was a self-employed home builder and later was a furniture maker.
He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Church of Christ in the New York community.
Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his parents; and a great-grandson, Garrett Mefford.
On Feb. 18, 1948, he married Caroline Thompson in Kansas City. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Dennis Richardson, Hamilton, and Kenneth Richardson, Kidder; one daughter, Beverly Adams, Hamilton; one brother, Joe Richardson, Hamilton; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
