Funeral services for J. Delbert Howard will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, at Hamilton United Methodist Church. Visitation is one hour prior to service, at the church. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, with military honors provided by the Hamilton American Legion Post No. 285. Arrangements are by Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his church or the cemetery.

James Delbert Howard, 78, Hamilton, died at a nursing home in Gladstone on Jan. 15, 2007.

Born Jan. 25, 1928, in Kidder, to James H. and Sara Helena Tritt Howard, he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1950 to 1952.

Mr. Howard retired from the State Highway and Transportation Department.

He had been a member of the Hamilton United Methodist Church.
Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Russell; and sister, Eileen Cozad.
Survivors include one sister, Pauline Alexander, Kansas City.
