Missouri Western State University’s Ambassadors have awarded $11,000 for nontraditional student scholarships. This is the second time this year that Ambassador scholarships have been awarded. Rachel Helton of Pattonsburg is among the scholarship recipients.
Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean’s list. For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the fall semester and at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.00 scale). Of the 14,627 degree-seeking undergraduate students enrolled during the fall 2006 semester, 3,814 earned a spot on the list. Among those students named to the dean’s list is Beth A. Morris of Coffey.
Hattie Rains, majoring in business administration, was named to the Dean’s List at William Jewell College, in Liberty, for the 2006 Fall Semester.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average while carrying 14 or more semester hours.
