The Pattonsburg R-2 Board of Education entered into an executive session to review applications for the superintendent’s position during their regular meeting held Wednesday, Dec. 20. A special board meeting was set for Jan. 9 in order to interview candidates.

In other business, the board discussed scholarship funds.

Elementary Principal Rick Collier reported an enrollment of 78 in kindergarten through sixth grades, and an attendance rate of 93.5%.

High School Principal Chris Gannon reported an enrollment of 90 in 7-12th grades and an attendance rate of 95.5%.

The calendar of events and program reports for special education and vocational education were reviewed and approved.

The School Report Card and policy updates were approved.

Next regular board meeting was set for Jan. 17, 2007.

Board members present were Craig Lambert, Patty Hartley, Ben deJong, Jean Thatcher, Diane Hulett, Lincoln Cornett and Cindy Estep. Also present were Elementary Principal Rick Collier, High School Principal Chris Gannon, and Superintendent Wendell Burns.
