A scheduled family visitation for Janie Eads was held Tuesday at McWilliams Family Funeral Home in Jamesport. Graveside rites were held at 2 p.m. (today) Wednesday at Jamesport Masonic Cemetery. The family has asked that memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Association in Janie’s memory.
Janie Eads, 48, St. Joseph, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, while under hospice care at her residence.
Mrs. Eads was born on Sept. 25, 1958, at Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Jack and Alma Fiscuss Turner. She moved to St. Joseph as a small child and graduated from Christian High School in 1977.
Mrs. Eads attended the Hillyard Technical School and had been employed as an industrial engineer by Snorkel for several years.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Chuckie Turner.
Survivors include three daughters, Becky Gott of Trenton, Mikki Eads of St. Joseph, and Missi Eads of Wathena, Kan.; her mother, Alma Smith of Warsaw; her father, Jack Turner of Springfield; two brothers, Jack Turner of Jamesport, and Lloyd Turner of Wathena, Kan.; three sisters, Tammy Curtis of Chillicothe, Patty Mills of St. Joseph, and Geannie Abner of Cabot, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.
