Dance Company/Dance Essentials presents gift to benefit community

For the fourth year in a row, The Dance Company/Dance Essentials of Gallatin presented a gift to local community organizations amounting to over $500.

The fund-raising drive was held during the Dance Company’s Dec. 2-3 annual Christmas recital at the Courter Theater of "Two-Steppin’ Around the Christmas Tree." Pictured in the back row are Mary Bickford of the Daviess County Health Care Center, Marie Toney of the Daviess County Community Action Agency, Deanna Lewis of the Daviess County Senior Center, Russ Hamilton of the Gallatin Ministerial Alliance, Steve Agenstein of the Gallatin Men’s Club Share the Harvest, all representatives of beneficiaries of the fund, and Heather Cole of the dance studio. Other area beneficiaries were Trenton Women’s Shelter, Albany Angels, Bethany Nursing Home and the Chillicothe Nursing Home. The $500 the dance students raised in donations at the Dec. 2-3 performance was over and above the cost to rent the theater. The Dance Company/Dance Essentials is owned and operated by Vera Nelson.
