Graveside services for Virginia Watson were held Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to McCrary Cemetery, in care of Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, 222 W. Third, Cameron, 64429.
Virginia Lee (Cox) Watson, 79, Gallatin, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at home.
Mrs. Watson was born in Gallatin on Sept. 13, 1927, to William (Bill) and Dorothy (Love) Cox. She lived most of her life in Gallatin and graduated from Gallatin High School.
Mrs. Watson was a teacher for a few years. She worked at Sears & Roebucks Co. for many years. She also owned and operated her own restaurant and helped many others run theirs.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents; brother, J.A. Cox, and sister, Mary Lipps.
On July 19, 1946, she married Robert (Bob) Watson in Muncie, Kan. They were married 60 years. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include one daughter, Judy Carol Edwards; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
