Services for Dorothy Gaither will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Kan. Interment will be at the Alpine Cemetery overlooking Turkey Point at Melvern Lake, Kan. Visitation is from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Dorothy Whitehawk Clough Gaither, 57, Ottawa, Kan., died Nov. 28, 2006 at her home.
She was born Oct. 4, 1949 at Seneca, Kan., daughter of Jack Ferguson and Beatrice Mae (Womack) Clough.
Mrs. Gaither worked at several different retail locations.
She was a member of Abate, Leonard Pelter Defense Committee, and Lawrence Solidarity.
On May 9, 2004, she married Jim Gaither at Emporia, Kan. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Gaither was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Daniel Mack Brown and a brother, Robert LeRoy Clough.
Other survivors include three sons, Jeff Brown of Carbondale, Kan., Craig Ralston, Jr. of Columbus, and Anthony Ralston of Emporia, Kan.; four daughters, Julie Wymer of Duncan, Okla., Jackie Edwards, Becky Hodge and Kaitlin Burnett, all of Emporia, Kan.; two sisters, Betty Hughs of Osage City, Kan., and Erin Dent of Alamogordo, N.M; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
