Filing dates for board positions was set for Dec. 12, 2006 through Jan. 16, 2006 for three positions during the regular meeting of the Winston R-6 Board of Education held Nov. 16.
Elementary basketball coaching contracts were offered to Jessica Gannan and Tim Morrison.
The board accepted the resignation of Wendy Kober, school nurse.
The board approved the following Program Evaluation: Transportation and Facilities and Safety – presented by Superintendent Lisa Bielby; Migratory Services, Homeless, and ESOL Program – presented by High School Principal Jeremy Covey.
Philip Pohren, elementary principal, reported 113 students enrolled in preschool through sixth grade, and a 97.56% attendance rate. Students of the Month are Rebecca Hiley and Tyler Neth.
Jeremy Covey reported an enrollment of 82 in seventh through 12th grades, and a 94% attendance rate. Students of the month were Blaise Simecek and Kirsten Riggs.
The summer school program was discussed and tabled until December.
Bank bids were reviewed and the board voted to accept BTC as the school depository.

Mrs. Bielby updated the board on the lightning damage the school sustained Nov. 10.
