For the first time since 1997, Gallatin’s Lady Bulldogs are represented on the all-state softball teams. Junior pitcher Lacey Dixon and sophomore catcher Maggie Strange were among the 35 players honored in the Class 1 ranks.

Dixon, a second team selection, finished 15-3 on the mound, with 119 strikeouts in 100 innings pitched, and an earned run average of 1.19. She also batted .360 with 14 runs batted in and 14 runs scored.

Strange, named to the first team, led Gallatin with a .385 average, .635 slugging percentage, 19 runs scored and 14 stolen bases.

Dixon and Strange join Amy Woodruff (97), Natalie Bird (94), Priscilla Warnes (94) and Trisha Vyrostek (91) on Gallatin’s list of all-state softball players.
