Graveside services for Thelma Painter were held Monday, Oct. 30, at Graceland Cemetery, Cameron. Arrangements were by Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Thelma E. Painter, 85, Cameron, died on Oct. 28, 2006.
Mrs. Painter was born on April 30, 1921, in Winston, to Russell and Ina (Reid) Heldenbrand.
She was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church, St. Joseph.
Mrs. Painter was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Russell Clevenger; brother, Duane Heldenbrand; and an infant brother and sister.
Survivors include her husband, C.L. “Bud” Painter, of the home; one daughter, Linda Spolar, Knoxville, Iowa; brother and sisters, Opal Garrett, Springhill, Kan., Audrey Heldenbrand, Winston, Doris J. Creamer, Winston, A.C. Heldenbrand, Cameron, Ronald R. Heldenbrand, Jamestown; stepchildren, Marilyn York, Derby, Kan., Robert Painter, Cameron, and James Painter, Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
