Funeral services for Homer McDaniel were held Saturday at Heath United Methodist Church, Pattonsburg. Burial was in McFall Cemetery with arrangements by Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. Memorials may be made to the Pattonsburg Multi-Purpose Center in care of the funeral home.

Homer F. McDaniel, 97, Pattonsburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006.
Mr. McDaniel was born Sept. 18, 1909, in Daviess County, the son of Joseph and Celesta (Johnson) McDaniel.
Mr. McDaniel, a farmer, was a member of the Heath United Methodist Church and the McFall Lions Club.
He married Bernice McDaniel in 1932. She preceded him in death on April 16, 1996.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard, Harley and Hershel and sister, Alma Mooney.
Survivors include two sons, Garold McDaniel, McFall, and J.B. McDaniel, Cameron, three daughters, Norma Crone, Pattonsburg, Helen Robertson, Excelsior Spring, and Nancy Carter, Lawson; one sister, Marie Slayton, Gladstone, 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great -grandchildren.
