Gallatin R-5’s seventh grade class will be honoring local Daviess County Veterans for their service and sacrifice at a ceremony scheduled 10-11 a.m. on Nov. 11 on the northeast corner of the courthouse square.

Throughout the month of November the students will be collecting donations for a Christmas package for local soldiers currently stationed in Iraq. On Nov. 11 the students will be accepting monetary donations to cover the shipping cost. They are planning on shipping the donations the last week of November, which will be just in time for Christmas!
