Ann Schweizer, Kay Woodruff, Jane Swails, St. Joe, and Jill Gooding, Centralia attended the wedding of Adrienne Barnett to Ken Robertson.
Their other sister, Sue Bird, was unable to make the trip. Adrienne’s mother, Billie Kay (Trimm) Barnett, is the sisters’ first cousin.
Their uncle, William Trimm of Jefferson City also attended, and the ladies’ other cousin, Linda (Trimm) Karcher and family of Houston, Tex., drove up.
The group enjoyed the rehearsal dinner, Friday evening, hosted by the groom’s parents, Ginger and Tom Robertson.
Saturday morning the sisters browsed shops in Tulsa’s “Special Place” Utica Square.
The wedding, with autumnal emphasis, Saturday evening was at the All Souls Unitarian Church, which was founded by the bride’s great grandparents.
The reception followed at the Philbrook Museum of Art with international dining stations, in the rotunda and on the La Villa level, of the couple’s choice: Southwestern for their upbringing, New England for their college years and young adult life, Belgium for their honeymoon destination, and Asian, from their favorite sushi restaurant.
The sisters were among the special family and friends treated to a champagne brunch Sunday, beginning at Billie Kay and Howard Barnett’s beautiful home and caravanning to the Southern Hills Country Club’s President’s Room.
If the fun the sisters had equates any to the longevity and sincerity of the wedding couple; then it should be “happily ever after” for them because we had a good, good time!
