Mr. Ferrell was a guest of the Jamesport FFA Chapter and local schools from Daviess and Harrison County were invited to take part in meeting and listen to the director speak about the current state of Missouri agriculture. Director Ferrell reminded each young person there, that they were the country’s future producers and that agriculture is getting ready to experience an enormous generation change. Chapter officers learned about niche markets and new ways to market current farming and ranching practices. Director Ferrell answered questions regarding animal identification and other topics, afterwards members were able to meet the director one-on-one and speak with him about their agriculture plans for the future.
