Last weekend, Butch and Lyn Bayne, Jessica and David Barnett, and David’s brothers, Bill and Jake, attended the Nascar races at the Kansas Speedway. Jake had a few days leave from the Navy, then returned to duty in Hawaii. On Wednesday, Jessica, David and Bill enjoyed a trip to the Omaha Zoo. Then Bill returned to his work in Texas.

Sandra Holman and Lee Mikes visited Leroy and Janelle Mikes Wednesday evening.

Zemilena Markham, St. Joe, and Marcella Applegate, Omaha, Neb., were last week guests of Alice Bell. They also all attended the Shipers reunion last Saturday. Marcella stayed a few days longer.

Shirley Fansher, Kansas City, was Thursday visitors of Norma Crabtree.

Bill and Helen Meadows, St. Joe, Howard and Mary Nagle, St. Joe, were visiting Miles Bruner Friday.

Sunday visitors of J.W. and Martha Huff were Gary Huff and friend Mary, Matt Huff and family, and Tim Killingsworth.

Letha Shipers visited Sharen Moore, Winston, Tuesday. One day this week, Maude Youngs visited Letha. Anna Knefaty called Letha Sunday.

Julie Cornett and Betty Daniel went to Hamilton Sunday to visit Donald and Eulonda Breeze.

Susie Cochran, Sumter, S.C., is recuperating at home following a motorcycle accident.

Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Newby, Valerie and Emryk Ring attended a cookout at Mr. and Mrs. Brent Brown’s Sunday. Others attending were Kelsey Brown, Mr. and Mrs. John Brown, Rick and Lillian Carter, Carsley Crabtree, Mindi Carter, Bobby Peterson and Sean and Wyatt Dinwiddie.

Gene and Kathy Walker, Kristin Walker and Laila Troxler helped Chris and Jennifer Troxler celebrate their Oct. 7 birthdays last Friday evening. Laila then spent the weekend with her grandparents. On Sunday they visited Gary and Betty Woodring and attended the fall "Turney Days."
