The house is owned by Carder/Lollar Rental who said the structure will need extensive repair, and added that the dryer, which was located in the center of the house, started the blaze.

Mr. Morrow and his fiancé, Lortha, were at home at the time, around 2:30 p.m. Mr. Morrow said he tried to drench the fire with water, but flames went up the wall and into the ceiling.

The Gallatin Fire Protection District, Gallatin police, county sheriff and EMT responded to the scene. No one was hurt.

Mr. Morrow didn’t have any insurance. The family is presently staying at the home of Steve and Carla Cragg at 405 East Richardson where contributions may be left.
