Two area teenagers received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred as Kirsten Bowe, 17, Gallatin, was northbound on Hwy. 13, two miles south of Gallatin. Her 2003 Dodge pickup crossed the center line, traveled off the west side of the roadway, struck a culvert and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its top off the west side of the highway.
Kirsten and a passenger in the vehicle, Maddison Paulsen, 16, Trenton, were both taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Liberty. Both girls were wearing their seat belts.
The pickup was totaled and towed by Bridgemans of Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.R. Johnston, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and the Gallatin Police Department.
