Compared to this time last year, enrollment numbers are down at Gallatin R-5, Pattonsburg R-2, North Daviess R-3 and Winston R-6. Tri-County R-7 has seen an increase in its number of students.

Gallatin R-5 is up 23 students from the beginning of the school year, but remains fairly consistent with total enrollment from last year. At the end of May there were 599, now there are 622 enrolled at R-5. Last year’s School Report Card listed enrollment as 626.

Pattonsburg R-2 has 89 students in the high school; 82 in the elementary; and 10 in preschool. The total of 181 students is down from 189 reported in 2005.

Winston R-6 has about the same number of students in the high school at 80, and is down in the number at the elementary at 93. There are 17 students in preschool. The total number of students for this year is 190. The 2005 report listed the school at 192.

North Daviess R-3 has nine students in preschool; 49 students in kindergarten through sixth grade; and 39 in the high school, for a total of 97. Last year’s School Report Card stated enrollment at 112.

First day enrollment at Tri-County R-7 saw 108 students in the high school, now it’s at 110. There are 103 students in kindergarten through sixth grade, and 19 in preschool, for a total of 232. The school reported 210 students in 2005.
