Jonathan graduated from Pattonsburg R-II School in 2003, and is entering his senior year at Northwest Missouri State University, where he will graduate with a degree in political science.

Jonathan lived in Washington, D.C. while completing his internship. He worked on research, constituent services and legislative issues for the Congressman. His interest in government and desire to get an in-depth look at the issues facing our nation are what brought him to work for Congressman Graves.

"Congressman Graves carries himself in a way that reflects the down-to-earth values of the ‘Show-Me-State,’" said Jonathan. "There is no doubt Congressman Graves is looking out for the Sixth District, in addition to supporting legislation that strengthens our country’s economy and security. As chairman of the Subcommittee on Rural Enterprises, Agriculture, and Technology, Congressman Graves brings together those on both sides of the aisle in a way that should be emulated by all lawmakers."

"Jonathan is a hard worker who shares my respect for public service. His dedication and work ethic are assets to the people of the Sixth District," said Graves.

Following college, Jonathan hopes to attend law school and practice as an attorney while staying involved in civic life. He expressed interest in returning to Washington, D.C. in the future.

At Northwest Missouri State University, Jonathan is a student senator, member of College Republicans, and treasurer of Phi Sigma Kappa.

He is the son of Kris and Elizabeth Lowrey; and the grandson of Bill and Caroline Maberry of Dawn, and of Dallas Lowrey of Pattonsburg.
