Logan knew he would be making improvements at Dockery Park for his Eagle Scout project. After discussing it with Park Board President David McLey, he decided to tackle repairs to four dugouts at the softball field. With help from his father, Eric, who is also the scout master, and other members from Troop 67, Logan put new concrete floors and tin roofs on all four of the dugouts and two new benches in the top ones. He also stretched all of the fence along the front inside of the dugouts. The project took about four months to complete at a cost of about $300. Wahoo Concrete donated the concrete for Logan’s project and Lake Viking Marine donated the tin. Savings in labor and supplies for the park is estimated at about $1,200. Logan, 18, has been in scouts 13 years. He plans to continue on to become a scout leader in the organization. Logan was on the staff at 2005-2006 Camp Geiger as a lifeguard and he is a runner in the tribe of Mic-O-Say. He is the son of Eric and Lana Corwin and has one sister, Casey (Andrew) Terhune. Everybody is invited to Logan’s Eagle Scout ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. at Gallatin First Baptist.
